1. Taking a bath, wearing perfume (for males), and wearing the best clothing.
2. Eating before leaving for the Fitr prayer.
3. Saying Takbir. This begins on the eve of the Fitr prayer and lasts until the Imaam appears for the ‘Eid prayer. It’s wording is

laa ilaaha ill-Allaah,
wallaahu Akbar
Allaahu Akbar
wa lillaahil-Hamd

Allaahu Akbar

4. Going to the place of prayer one route and returning home a different route.
5. Perform ‘Eid prayer in an open place.
6. Congratulating each other by saying “Taqabbalallaah minnaa wa minka” May Allah accept our deeds and yours.
