It’s hot. We need to be more mindful of getting enough fluids. It’s recommended to drink at least 64 oz — eight 8-oz glasses of water a day.
I use a 16-oz re-usable bottle that I fill up several times a day. It’s easier for me to keep track of how much water I’m getting.
One way to make sure you and your family are staying well hydrated is to make a fluid schedule. Yes, plan out when you need to fill up on water or other liquids.
A sample schedule is to break the fast with water. Sit and Sip for a while. Then have more water after salaah. And more during your meal. And drink again on the way to the masjid for Taraweeh, and shortly after on the way home.
Have more before you sleep. You can even keep water in a water bottle/container with a lid next to your bedside. Remind yourself to wake up and drink water.
Then, when you get up for suhuur, have more water.
