Tackle Clutter and Touch Up/Clean

We also started this before Ramadhan. However, during Ramadhan, we re-start the routine.

Here’s what’s up for the 2nd week of fasting: Touchup and Clean the Bath(s) and Hallway(s) plus choose any area (e.g. a room, basket, box, drawer, etc) and spend 15 minutes uncluttering it.

Suhuur Menu Planning
Plan a week’s worth of meals in advance helps you focus on other aspects of Ramadhan. Set aside 20 – 30 minutes once a week to decide what will be served. Use this Weekly Menu Planning Form (pdf), and/or this Blank 30-Day Calendar (pdf).

Protein for Long-Lasting Power
Protein is important to our nutritional health. It provides energy, stabilizes blood sugar levels, keeps hunger at bay, and so much more.

Avoid proteins that contain unhealthy saturated fats, but eat your fill of the proteins that contain little to no saturated fats.

Healthiest Protein Sources:
beans |  nuts        | protein powder
fish     |  poultry     | legumes
eggs   |  lentils      | some grains (e.g. quinoa, etc)

Least Healthiest Protein Sources:
red meats
high-fat dairy (milk, cheeses, cream, etc)
