Start by making a list of what needs to be done.
Then, if you do not know how to do the things on your list, use a search engine to find reputable sites that explain how.
Here is a short list of some things you may want to include on your cleaning list:
Get rid of old, duplicate, temporary, and unused files. If you need to keep a file but do not use it frequently, move it to a USB drive.
Most of all, DO NOT reformat your hard drive — doing so will delete everything including the programs that run your computer.
Clean your browser’s cache, temporary files, cookies, and history.
Unsubscribe from anything online that will be a distraction during Ramadhan.
Delete unwanted emails.
Make decluttering and cleaning your computer a long-term habit by scheduling time to do it on a regular basis.
Here’s a few very helpful software programs that are free to use:
- Abine: Do Not Track Me
- Ad Aware
- Revo Uninstaller
